McMinnville resident and Warren County native Rodney Dale Vanderpool, 71, was born September 18, 1954 and died October 3, 2025 at his residence following an extended illness.  

A meat cutter with Red Food, Bi-Lo and Kroger, he was the son of the late Algie and Dora Kay Lafever Vanderpool. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Wayne Vanderpool.

Mr. Vanderpool was married March 9, 2002 to Phyllis Brown Vanderpool.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Caitlin Vanderpool and Abigail Vanderpool both of McMinnville, Paula (James) Tindall of Murfreesboro, Timothy (Kayla) Vanderpool of Christiana and Mallorie (Chris) Kirouac of Baxter;  seven grandchildren, Jordan (Robert) Gordon, Colin Tindall, Kaydence Vanderpool, Evalynn Vanderpool, Owen Vanderpool, Amelia Kirouac and Claire Kirouac;  two sisters, Wanda Dunham of Smithville and Lorraine Webb of Mt. Juliet and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
