Sabotaged Water Sparks Investigation

An intentional act of vandalism has prompted an investigation by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office after a Pleasant Hill property owner's water lines were deliberately cut. The homeowner reported that an unknown offender had accessed the water meter boxes for both his primary home and an adjacent rental unit, slicing through the main lines. Damages are projected to exceed $1,000. Investigators have established a lead in the case, but no arrests have been made.
