Sandra Sue Griffin, 84

Rock Island resident and Marmaduke, Ark. native Sandra Sue Griffin, 84, was born Jan. 27, 1942 and died Oct. 2, 2026 at Saint Thomas Rutherford following a brief illness.

A homemaker, she was the daughter of the late Robert Berl Letbetter and Geneva Carter Szabo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Gerald Griffin; grandparents, Robert and Addie Elizabeth Letbetter; half-brother, Randy Letbetter and daughter-in-law, Karen Goodman-Griffin.

She was married to Donald Griffin of Rock Island on July 29, 1995. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Griffin is survived by children, Greg (April) Griffin of Nevada, David (Paulette) Griffin of New York, Graham Scott Griffin of Indiana and Amy (Jason) Glenn of Indiana; step-children, Dawn Griffin of Ohio, Shawn (Heather) Griffin of Ohio and Sheri (Nick) Hoeldtke of Tennessee; grandchildren, Jerrod (Stephanie) Griffin, Jessica Griffin, Matthew (Roxy) Griffin, Nicole Griffin, Payton Glenn and Carmen Glenn, Isadora D-Oimo; step-grandchildren, Madison Griffin, Ian Griffin, Jackson Griffin, Kayla Seward, Monica Griffin, Ivy Griffin, Jalen Hoeldtke, Harlow Hoeldtke and Hayley Hoeldtke; eight great-grandchildren and special ex-daughter-in-law, Susan Richardson.

Mrs. Griffin will be cremated. No service or visitation will be held at High’s.
