McMinnville resident and Warren County native ShyLow Jeffrey Lea, 27, was born June 18, 1999 and died suddenly Sept. 9, 2026 at River Park Hospital.
A factory worker at Batesville, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, riding anything with wheels and was known for giving the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He proudly graduated from the school of hard knocks. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and several family members from Oklahoma.
Mr. Lea is survived by mother, Melenda Grissom of McMinnville; father, Jeff (Teri) Lea of Spencer; daughter, Mary’anna Lea of McMinnville; sons, Johnnie Lea of McMinnville, Sawyer Lea of Morrison and Kaleb-James ShyLow Lea of Altamont; brothers and sisters, NaTina Alexander, TaNisa Butzback, ShaDow (CJ) Lea, SeCurity (Ryan) Stoner, Terry Lea, Ashley Lea, Victoria Rogers and Sean Black; mothers of his children, Rebekah Ferrell, Sasha Jordan and Samantha Bailey (Family on the Mountain); special friends at Recovery Court of McMinnville; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and his beloved dog who was by his side through thick and thin.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026 in High’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Saturday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
