The White County Middle School sixth-grade Warriorettes picked up a pair of wins over an eight-day stretch, rolling past Coffee County on the road before returning home for a much more competitive matchup with Stone Memorial.
White County opened the stretch Monday, Sept. 28, with a 41-3 win at Coffee County. The Warriorettes controlled the game from the beginning, holding Coffee County scoreless through the first half while building a 22-0 advantage.
White County scored 11 points in each of the first two quarters, then added 13 in the third. Coffee County finally got on the board with one point in the third quarter, leaving the Warriorettes comfortably in front, 35-1, heading into the fourth.
The Warriorettes added six more points over the final period to finish off the 41-3 win. Coffee County managed just two more points in the fourth as White County's defense held its opponent to three points for the entire game.
The defensive effort was spread around in the win. Hadley Sims recorded two rebounds and two steals, while Kalygan Nash grabbed three rebounds. Jessa Horton finished with two rebounds and two assists, and Mollie Clark had three rebounds, an assist, and a steal.

The next game required considerably more from the Warriorettes.
Stone Memorial came to White County and stayed within striking distance early, but a big opening quarter helped the Warriorettes establish control. White County put up 20 points in the first quarter while holding Stone to five, giving the home team a 15-point advantage after one.
White County added 12 in the second to take a 32-11 lead into halftime. Roxy Daniel helped fuel the early offense and finished with eight points, while Sims scored six and Emma Cloud added five.
Stone made its push after halftime, cutting into the lead as White County's offense slowed. Avery Young and Jessa Horton each finished with seven points, giving the Warriorettes additional scoring as they worked to protect the advantage.

White County also got contributions beyond the scoring column. Young pulled down four rebounds, while Daniel had two rebounds and two assists. Hayden Jackson recorded three assists and two steals, and Horton added two rebounds and two assists.
Stone continued to chip away over the final period, but the Warriorettes had done enough work early to keep the game from getting away from them. White County closed out the 44-32 victory, giving the sixth-grade Warriorettes a pair of wins over an eight-day stretch — one behind a dominant defensive performance and the other after answering a much stronger second-half challenge.
