A reported burglary at a Sparta home led White County investigators to what they describe as a much larger criminal conspiracy involving recorded jail phone calls, a house key and three men accused of trying to take control of the property.
The investigation resulted in multiple felony charges after detectives say the men planned to enter the residence before falsely claiming it had been abandoned.
