A reported domestic incident ended with a man running from a Sparta police officer, an unknown object being thrown into the woods and a search that failed to turn up whatever had been discarded.
More than a month later, the case returned to White County General Sessions Court, where the man entered guilty pleas Tuesday and was ordered to serve six months.
