A woman trying to leave a Sparta pharmacy parking lot Tuesday afternoon told police her husband blocked her vehicle with his truck, got into the passenger side and strangled her twice before she was able to get away.
The Sept. 1 encounter led to an aggravated assault charge and a $40,000 bond, with a judge ordering the man to wear a GPS monitor and have no contact with the woman.
