A White County man admitted Tuesday to assaulting his mother, resolving a felony case that began after investigators said he threatened to beat her to death with a hammer while wearing safety glasses so he "wouldn't get blood in his eyes."
The case, which was resolved in White County General Sessions Court, centered on allegations that the victim sought an order of protection after telling investigators she feared she would be killed inside her own home.
