Tree City Baseball Academy is excited to announce its formation as a premier youth baseball program in McMinnville dedicated to developing young athletes aged 6U to 12U for middle school and high school baseball. Guided by our mission, “It’s about the KIDS,” Tree City Baseball Academy focuses on fostering a love for the game, teamwork, and community pride while building fundamental skills and character to prepare players for competitive play. 

Unlike traditional travel ball organizations, the Tree City Baseball Academy prioritizes player development, emphasizing proper mechanics in throwing, catching, hitting, and baserunning, alongside mental preparedness and values like respect, responsibility, and effort. Our program aims to strengthen McMinnville’s baseball community by keeping local talent engaged and providing mentorship from high school players, coaches, and respected local baseball figures.

Season: September–December 2025

Groups: 6/7U, 8U, 10U, 12U (10–12 players per team, selected via tryouts)

Activities: 1–2 practices per week in McMinnville, focused on skill development through drills and mentorship.

Focus: Developing fundamentals (throwing accuracy, catching mechanics, hard-contact hitting, intelligent baserunning) and mental skills (game awareness, handling failure) to prepare for higher-level play.

Tryout Information

Tree City Baseball Academy will host tryouts to select players for the Fall 2025 season. All interested players aged 6–12 are encouraged to attend.

Dates:

Sunday, September 14th, 2:00 PM–4:00 PM (6/7U)

Sunday, September 14th, 4:00 PM–6:00 PM (10U/12U)

Private tryouts are available if you cannot attend the dates, and times listed. See contact information below.

Location: Warren County High School, 199 Pioneer Lane, McMinnville, TN 37110

Details: Players should bring gloves, cleats, helmets, and water. Coaches will evaluate skills, effort, and attitude. Results will be communicated within one week.

Costs and Fundraising

Player Fees: $125 per player, covering shirt, hat, and team equipment.

Tree City Baseball Academy invites parents and community members to join our mission:

Parents/Community: Volunteer as assistant coaches, team managers, or fundraising coordinators. Contact treecitybaseball@gmail.com to get involved.

Mentorship: High school players and coaches, including those from Warren County High School, will serve as role models to inspire our young athletes.
