Culley Complex sign sparks resignatons

A tense discussion over the proposed digital sign for the David Culley Recreational Complex brought visible friction to White County’s Steering Committee A meeting, as commissioners and community representatives openly disagreed on costs, communication, and expectations surrounding the project. 

What began as a technical question quickly escalated. A community member asked whether electricity could be run from an existing meter at the football field to the site of the proposed sign, even offering to dig the ditch line if engineering plans were provided. That inquiry set off a debate that revealed division within the subcommittee responsible for the project.
