United Way accepting grant applications Feb. 10

United Way of South Central Tennessee (UWSCTN) announced today that its 2026 Community Investment Grant Application will open on Feb. 10, inviting nonprofit organizations across the region to apply for funding.

United Way of South Central Tennessee is committed to improving lives by advancing opportunities in education, health and financial stability for all. Through its annual Community Investment Grants, UWSCTN invests in nonprofit programs serving residents across its seven-county service area: Bedford, Cannon, Coffee, Lincoln, Moore, Rutherford and Warren counties.

Grant funding prioritizes programs that support ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed)—those who are Asset Limited, Income Constrained and Employed—and that strengthen long-term stability and pathways to success. United Way emphasizes evidence-based programming and collaborative approaches that create sustainable, community-wide impact. ALICE households earn above the federal poverty level but still struggle to afford basic necessities such as housing, childcare, food, transportation, healthcare and technology.

United Way of South Central Tennessee’s grantmaking focuses on programs that address these challenges by strengthening financial stability, increasing access to education and workforce development, improving health outcomes and supporting long-term economic mobility.

To support interested applicants, United Way of South Central Tennessee will host a Virtual Grant Information Session on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 2 p.m. via Zoom. Registration is required at this link. During the session, staff will review the application structure, outline funding priorities and answer questions related to the 2026 funding cycle. A recording of the session will be available on the United Way website (www.yourlocaluw.org) by Monday, Feb. 16, for those unable to attend live.
