Today (Sept. 10) marks the halfway point in the national voting campaign to determine which communities will host the prestigious Levitt AMP Music Series, a program that would bring three years of free, family-friendly concerts to downtown McMinnville.

As of Sunday, McMinnville was ranked first in Tennessee and 11th nationwide. Since then, the city has dropped to 24th in the nation and fourth in Tennessee. With voting open through Sunday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. community support is critical to get McMinnville back on top.

“The Levitt AMP Music Series would enrich our community by providing a high-quality, free program in the heart of our hallmark downtown,” Tourism & Marketing Manager for the City of McMinnville Jordan Pupols said. “It brings people together, celebrates diversity and artistry, creates shared cultural experiences and supports the small business owners who make our downtown so special. Every single vote matters, and it only takes a minute to participate. We need everyone in McMinnville—and beyond—to cast their vote and help us secure this music series for our community.”

To vote, community members should text the keyword MCMINN (spelled exactly as shown, with no spaces, additional letters, or punctuation) to 877-409-5525. Each person may vote for up to five different cities during the voting period, but only once for each city. Votes cast outside the official window - Sept. 5 at noon through Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. - will not be counted. Successful votes will receive a confirmation text.

If McMinnville is selected, the Levitt AMP Music Series will transform downtown into a vibrant gathering space each fall, offering free live music that celebrates diverse talent, artistry and creativity while strengthening community ties.

“Let’s show the nation the energy, pride and artistic spirit of McMinnville,” Pupols added. “Share the keyword, cast your vote and invite your friends and family to join us in making this dream a reality.”
