Recognize your favorite local educator in a new promotion coming soon to the Main Street Journal.

MSJ is partnering with First National Bank of Middle Tennessee and other local sponsors to present the First National Bank Teacher of the Week, recognizing faculty from around the county throughout the rest of the 2026-2027 school year.

Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8, ballots can be found on the Main Street Journal website and are accessible for subscribers and non-subscribers alike. Any teacher in grades K-5 from a Warren County school, public or private, is eligible to win.

Online voting will begin each Tuesday at midnight, and last until 11:59 p.m. the following Monday. One vote per hour can be cast per e-mail address. Each week’s winner will be removed from the ballot for the following weeks and will be entered into a pool to be selected Teacher of the Year next spring.

Each week’s winner will receive gift certificates from local merchants as well as recognition in the Main Street Journal and on Main Street Media radio stations.

“We want to reward the hard work and dedication of our local teachers,” Main Street Media owner Chad Graves said. “We appreciate everyone involved in education, and we’re thankful to be able to partner with our fine sponsors to give them the recognition they deserve.”

The primary sponsor for this promotion is First National Bank of Middle Tennessee, with additional support from Smooth Rapids, Diamond Jewelry Company, Phillips Sales and Service and Graves Family Pharmacy.
