Wanda Grace Tanner, 73

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Wanda Grace Tanner, 73, was born Jan. 1, 1953 and died Jan. 26, 2026 at Willow Branch following an extended illness. 

A member of Bethany Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Roy Forest and Macie D. Colvett Tate. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, John Thomas Tanner; brother Larry Tate and sister, Faye Prater. 

Mrs. Tanner is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Laymon Tanner of McMinnville; son, James (LaFonda) Tanner of McMinnville; grandchildren, Lillian (Tyler Lokey) Tanner and Blake Tanner; step-grandchildren, Matthew and Andrew Holmes; great-grandchild, Ridley James Lokey; brother, David Paul Tate; sisters, Sue Talley, Ann Burch and Connie Tate; special nieces, Stephanie George and Vicki Roberts; several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 2026 in High's Chapel with David Costello officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
