ENDANGERED CHILDREN INVESTIGATION UPDATE
Arrest Warrant Issued for Mother of Six Missing Children
October 29, 2026
Crossville, Tennessee - The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division continues its investigation into the disappearance of six children taken from Cumberland County on October 22, 2026.
On October 27, 2026, investigators recovered the red Chrysler Town & Country minivan used to transport the children. The vehicle was located in Cumberland County. Investigators have also executed multiple search warrants and conducted numerous interviews as part of the ongoing investigation.
Investigators have determined the children were taken by their biological mother, Misty Ware, who did not have legal custodial rights to the children under an existing court order.
As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant has been issued for Misty Ware by the Cumberland County Circuit Court, charging her with felony Custodial Interference, in violation of Tennessee Code Annotated § 39-13-306.
The six children are:
- Anahi Ware, 16
- Maximo Ware, 10
- Abalino Almaraz-Ware, 8
- Luisa Almaraz-Ware, 5
- Paloma Ware, 3
- Felix Ware, 9 months
The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, along with its state and federal law enforcement partners, continues working toward the safe return of the children.
Anyone with information regarding Misty Ware, the children, or this investigation is urged to contact Sgt. Thomas Henderson of the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office at (931) 484-6176.
