The final result may not have gone White County's way Monday night, but the Warriorettes didn't go down without a fight against Cumberland County.

White County started the night with a 25-22 win before Cumberland County took control of the next two sets, winning 25-17 and 25-6 to put the Warriorettes on the verge of a four-set loss.

Instead, White County battled back.

The Warriorettes took the fourth set 25-19, evening the match and forcing a fifth and deciding set. Cumberland County eventually closed out the match with a 15-11 win in the fifth, but not before White County had pushed the match as far as it could go.

Now, the Warriorettes are getting ready to return to their home court tonight as they host LaVergne.
