White County Middle School spent the final three quarters Thursday trying to make up for the first. The Warriorettes fell behind 13–1 against Prescott, then played the Cavaliers even the rest of the way in a 44–32 loss.

Kren Rigsby, who finished with a team-high 14 points, opened the scoring with a free throw. It was White County’s only point of the first quarter as Prescott scored 13.

Prescott added to its lead in the second, outscoring the Warriorettes 11–7 to take a 24–8 advantage into halftime. Lyla Ryan and Drew Seagraves each scored a basket from the floor in the second quarter, with White County’s other three points coming from the free throw line.

The Warriorettes began cutting into the lead in the third. Ryan connected from behind the arc and added a two-point basket as White County scored 12 points while holding Prescott to just six. That brought the deficit down to ten heading into the fourth.

Ryan and Avalei Randolph each hit a deep shot in the final quarter, helping White County put up another 12 points. Prescott answered with 14, however, keeping the Warriorettes from gaining any ground.

White County outscored Prescott 24–20 over the final two quarters, it just wasn't enough to erase the early deficit. The Warriorettes had four players get on the scoreboard. Rigsby lead the way with 14 points while Ryan finished right behind her with 13. Randolph added three, while Seagraves scored two.
