After weeks of campaign signs popping up across White County, voters finally had a chance to see many of the candidates in one place—and hear directly from them without the noise of a debate stage.

The Sparta-White County Chamber of Commerce hosted a Candidate Forum on Thursday, bringing together local candidates for upcoming city, county, and state races. The format was simple, but effective: each candidate was given three minutes to introduce themselves, followed by a single question they had not seen in advance. From there, they had five minutes to respond.
