When a serious crash happens in White County, the difference between life and death can come down to minutes—and how quickly first responders can safely get someone out of a vehicle.

That’s why departments across the county spent time Friday night and Saturday morning sharpening those skills during a joint extrication training. Crews from Sparta Fire Department, Doyle Fire Department, NorthEnd Fire Department, the White County Sheriff’s Office, White County EMA, and the White County Rescue Squad all worked together, focusing on new techniques and updated safety procedures.
