Both White County High School golf teams left Livingston with wins Thursday, with the Warriorettes continuing their dominant season and the Warriors finishing 14 strokes clear of the field.

The Warriorettes earned a 21-stroke victory, posting a team score of 160. Cumberland County finished second at 181, followed by Livingston at 191 and Pickett County at 214.

White County also took the top spots on the individual leaderboard.

Ava Elrod and Lenzie Golden tied for medalist honors, each shooting an 80. Piper Heady finished with an 86, a score that was not needed for White County’s team total.

Cumberland County’s Kinsley Wilson also shot an 86, and no other golfer in the girls’ field finished below 90.

The Warriors made it a White County sweep with a team score of 342, finishing 14 strokes ahead of Cumberland County’s 356. Livingston shot a 363, while Pickett County finished at 370.

Lucas Phillips led the entire boys’ field, earning medalist honors with a 77.

Livingston’s Corbin Bournes was next with an 80, while Pickett County’s Trevin Fitzgerald finished one stroke behind him at 81.

Logan Holland added an 82 for White County, with Tripp Tollison shooting an 86. Lane Dickerson and Jack Carpenter each posted a 96, while Matt Wilson finished with a 101.

White County will carry Thursday’s sweep into postseason play, with the district tournament now up next for both teams. The tournament has been moved up one day and will begin Wednesday, with tee times still to be announced.
