White County High School made the trip south Tuesday and returned home with a pair of wins as both the Warriors and Warriorettes picked up victories over Warren County.

The Warriorettes rolled to a 40-stroke win, shooting a 156 to easily outpace the Lady Pioneers' 196.

It was the freshmen leading the way for White County. Ava Elrod turned in the low round for the Warriorettes with a 76, while Piper Heady followed with an 80 to round out the team score.

Lenzie Golden finished just one stroke behind Heady with an 81. Although her round was not needed in the team score, it was still better than every score turned in by Warren County. The Lady Pioneers had just one golfer, Gabbi Molloy, finish below 100.

On the boys' side, the Warriors didn't have the lowest individual round of the day, but they had more than enough depth to pull away for a 19-stroke win. White County finished at 325, well ahead of Warren County's 344.

A Warren County's Noel Davis took the top spot on the leaderboard with a 75, but from there it was a run of Warriors. Jack Carpenter led White County with a 78, and Tripp Tollison followed with an 81. Logan Holland was right behind him with an 82, while Lucas Phillips and Lane Dickerson each carded an 84.

That gave White County five golfers at 84 or better. Warren County, meanwhile, saw a sizable drop after its 75, with its next-best round coming from Aiden Van Vuuren who finished at 87. The difference in depth allowed the Warriors to overcome the Pioneers' individual low score and still walk away with a comfortable double-digit victory.
