Recently, White County Schools announced the recipient of their Supervisor of the Year as Mrs. Ashley Rust, the school system’s technology supervisor.
“Ashley Rust has been instrumental in positioning White County Schools at the forefront of educational technology,” White County Director of Schools Kurt Dronebarger said. “Her vision and dedication were critical in implementing our new artificial intelligence policy and ensuring our systems are both innovative and secure. We are proud to recognize her as the White County Schools' Supervisor of the Year for her exceptional leadership and commitment to our district”
According to Dronebarger, Rust has become known as an expert in educational technology not only in White County, but around the Upper Cumberland region and across the state as well. Rust’s willingness to share her expertise and expand her own knowledge of technology systems and their use in education has provided her with opportunities to serve on numerous boards and committees beyond her home school district.
“I am incredibly honored by this recognition,” Rust said while giving credit to the school district’s team of technology experts. “This award truly belongs to our entire Technology Team, whose tireless work ensures that every teacher and student has the tools they need to succeed. We strive to make technology an intuitive, integrated part of the teaching process, and I’m proud to lead a team that makes that possible every single day.”
