The White County High School Warriors and White County Warriorettes are starting to make a habit out of dominance.
On Tuesday night, White County delivered its second straight 7-0 district sweep, this time taking down Sequatchie County Tennis in convincing fashion. From top to bottom—varsity and junior varsity—every player who stepped on the court walked away with a win.
The Warriorettes set the tone early and never let up.
All three doubles teams—Lorelei Bouldin and Sadie Benningfield, Tegan Rittenberry and Olivia Flaminio, and Ainslee Goff and Emmie Benningfield—each posted 8-0 shutouts, giving White County immediate control of the match. That momentum carried straight into singles play, where Claire Hawkins, Alivia Davis, and Aleigha Weston each turned in flawless 8-0 victories.
White County continued to stack wins across the lineup. Emmie Benningfield picked up an 8-1 win in the top singles spot, while Victoria Davis and Avi Rose added strong performances to round out a complete team effort.
The Warriors matched that intensity on the boys side.
John Durfee and Ethan Wiles opened doubles with an 8-0 win, while Jagger Osborne and Jett Drouillard added another victory to secure the early edge. In singles, Rhoane Whorton and Osborne controlled the top of the lineup, and Gabe Sweeney turned in a perfect 8-0 performance.
Even in exhibition play, White County found success. Seth Smith battled Sequatchie’s No. 1 seed and came away with an impressive 8-6 win to cap off the night.
The sweep marks back-to-back dominant outings for White County in District 6A play as both teams continue to build momentum early in the season.
Next up, White County will hit the road to face Livingston Academy Tennis on Friday, March 27, with first serve set for 4 p.m.
