A White County woman is facing felony charges after authorities say she entered the home of an elderly, vulnerable resident without permission and took prescription medication and cash — despite having already been told she was not allowed on the property.

According to an affidavit of complaint, the victim — identified as Mary Helen Keen — is described as elderly, disabled and reliant on a caretaker due to significant medical issues that impair her vision and hearing. Investigators say that vulnerability is central to the case, elevating the charges to include abuse of a vulnerable adult.
