It was a productive Tuesday afternoon for the White County High School track and field teams, with the Warriors and Warriorettes turning in a collection of strong finishes across multiple events that earned the school an overall seventh place finish.
Leading the way on the girls side was Miya League, who delivered one of the top performances of the day with a second-place finish in the long jump. League’s mark of 16 feet, 8 inches put her firmly among the top competitors in the field and landed her on the podium.
On the boys side, Isaac Little climbed to the top of the podium in the long jump, claiming first place with a leap of 20 feet, 11 inches. It was the top individual finish of the meet for White County.
White County also saw solid results on the track.
Kayce Wright turned in another good showing in the 800-meter run, finishing third with a time of 2:29.14 for her third podium finish in as many meets. In the sprints, Natalie West earned a podium spot of her own, placing third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.12 seconds.
In relay action, the Warriorettes’ 4x800-meter team battled to a fifth-place finish, clocking in at 11:18.67 and adding another top-five result to the team’s overall day.
Beyond those headlining performances, White County placed multiple athletes inside the top 10 across the meet.
Several Warriors posted competitive finishes in both sprint and distance events, while the field events group continued to produce consistent results. The depth showed up in the standings, with athletes contributing points across a wide range of events rather than relying on just a few standout performances.
