With the regular season entering its final stretch, several teams strengthened their position in the standings Tuesday night as the White County Youth Baseball and Softball League returned to action following Monday’s rainouts.

Monday’s games were postponed due to weather and will be rescheduled, while the regular season is now set to wrap up Friday ahead of tournament play expected to begin next week.

In Minor Boys action, Nate Card Construction picked up a 12-6 win over Home Church, while Ben Dildine Tru-North continued its strong season with a 10-5 victory against Turney Financial. The wins kept both Nate Card Construction and Ben Dildine Tru-North near the top of the division standings entering the final week of the regular season.

Major Boys play featured the night’s closest matchup as Toro Nutrition edged Roberson Fencing 7-6 in a one-run battle. Henry Zuber helped power the win for Toro Nutrition by joining the league’s “Bomb Squad” with an over-the-fence home run that proved to be a major difference-maker in the contest.

Whitson Lawncare also continued its strong run through the division with an 11-1 victory over Ben Lomand as teams continue battling for tournament positioning.

In Minor Girls play, Franks remained unbeaten with a 10-0 shutout victory over Powerhouse Powerwash, while Uzin Fusion Metalworks defeated Robbie Porter 13-4.

Major Girls action saw Calfkiller Brewing Co continue its strong season with an 11-2 win against Robbie Porter, while BCX Lazer Printing earned a 16-5 victory over Rocky Pop Co as the division standings tightened heading into the final days of regular season play.

Competitive T-Ball and Coach Pitch divisions have officially completed regular season play and are now awaiting tournament brackets.
