Just off the square at 16 W. Bockman Way, a new storefront is drawing steady foot traffic and even steadier conversation. Hunt and Gather, an affordable consignment boutique opened by Katie Haynes on November 15, 2025, is quickly becoming one of downtown Sparta’s newest reasons to shop local. 

Haynes said she saw a gap in the community’s retail landscape — not necessarily a lack of stores, but a lack of variety and accessible price points. Rather than wait for someone else to fill it, she decided to do it herself.
