McMinnville resident and Warren County native Barbara Faye Wanamaker, 85, was born Nov. 27, 1939 and died Sept. 9, 2025 at her residence following an extended illness.

A homemaker and a retired employee of McMinnville Garment Company and a member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Wanamaker was the daughter of the late B.F. and Wilma Fisher Yates. She was married to Lanny Ross Wanamaker on Dec. 21, 1957 who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Beverly Hertwig, Helen Fults and Shirley Nunley and sons-in-law, Clyde Kirby and Chris Simmons.

Mrs. Wanamaker is survived by sons, Barry (Donna) Wanamaker and Brian (Cindy) Wanamaker; daughters, Lori Kirby and Leigh Simmons; grandchildren, Jacob Wanamaker, Chris (Sabrina) Wanamaker, Brandon Kirby, Ashley (Landon) King, Penny (Wes) Jordan, Haley (Bryan) Pendergrast, Nichlas Simmons and Chase Simmons; great-grandchildren, Lily, Chloe and Eli Wanamaker, Kamryn Pendergrast, Braxton, Lucas and Layla King and Maddie and Morgan Jordan; brother-in-law, Hal Wanamaker; sister-in-law, Priscilla Wanamaker and numerous nieces and nephews.

Per her wishes, Mrs. Wanamaker will be cremated. Visitation will be on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at High’s.
