Viola resident and Warren County native Brenda Kay Thaxton, 66, was born January 3, 1959 and died November 23, 2025 at her residence following a sudden illness.

Daughter of the late George H. Sr., and Daisy Lee Bunch Thaxton, she was preceded in death by sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann and Larry Stotts and Jewel and David Winningham; sister, Jean Kirby; brother, Danny Lee Thaxton; brother-in-law, Dan Seamons; nephew, Jim-Bob (Robbie) Rymer; great-niece, Mylie Beth Cantrell.

Miss Thaxton is survived by siblings, George (Kay) Thaxton of Viola, Lonnie Thaxton of McMinnville, Connie (Fred) Beard of Spencer, Linda (Steve) Rymer of Altamont, Michael (Lisa) Thaxton of Viola, Frances (Bo) Jennings of McMinnville; brother-in-law: Mike Kirby of Altamont; several nieces and nephews also survive. 

Graveside service and interment will 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Ryan Vincion officiating. There will be no visitation at High's.
