Carol Rose Winters Scott

Carol Rose Winters Scott was born on October 30, 1932 and died peacefully at her McMinnville home on June 20, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Clyde C. Winters and Elizabeth Webb Winters, and was also preceded in death by brother Clyde Winters, Jr.

She was married for 49 years to M.L. (Sam) Scott who died in 1998. She was a retired employee of Ben Lomand Telephone Company and a lifelong member of the Westwood Church of Christ.

She is survived by her only child, Elizabeth Scott Damron (Randall) of Pittsburgh, Penn.; granddaughters, Laura Elizabeth Damron of Sewanee, Tenn., Emily Rose Damron Atterberry (Bryan) of Boston, Mass.; great-granddaughter, Ludmila Zasedatelev and her father, Aleksandr Zasedatelev of Sewanee.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 28 at View Cemetery. There will be no service or visitation at Highs. Family and friends will meet at Mt. View Cemetery for the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, for which her husband was a tireless advocate.
