• The annual Decoration Day at Shellsford Cemetery will be held Sunday, May 24. Donations collected during the event will go toward the upkeep and maintenance of the cemetery.   • VFW Post 5064 will hold a Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 25, at the Warren County Memorial Airport, located at 635 Airport Dr. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. and will honor those who served and sacrificed for the country.
  • 2026 Summer Tennis Camps will be held at the Milner Recreation Center/David Dunlap Tennis Complex in McMinnville on May 25–28, June 22–25 and July 27–30. Camps are open to ages 6–15 with sessions in the morning; cost is $100. Participants can call 931-273-3435 for details.
  • The McMinnville - Warren County Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for Flat Foot Records on 102 W Main St, on Thursday, May 28 at 11:30 a.m.
  • A campaign meet-and-greet for Tennessee gubernatorial candidate Lauren Pinkston will be held Thursday, May 28 from 4-6 p.m. at the McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce. Community members will have the opportunity to meet Pinkston and learn more about her campaign for Tennessee governor. RSVP information is available through the campaign website.
  • The inaugural McMinnville International Cultural Festival will be held Saturday, May 30 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Milner Recreation Center on 500 Garfield St, celebrating diverse cultures across Tennessee with shopping, food, dance and community activities.   • “We the People: The Documents That Made Our Nation” is now on display at Morrison Public Library on 138 W Maple St. The exhibit, which will be on display through Monday, June 1, explores the Revolutionary period through handwritten and printed documents that helped shape the United States. Library hours are 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • The Warren County Democratic Party will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, June 1 at 6 p.m. in the Magnolia Room on 201 Locust St. The group meets on the first Monday of every month.
  • The Warren County Memorial Airport Meeting will take place on Monday, June 1 at 6 p.m. at 48 Airport Rd.
  • The McMinnville Exchange Club is accepting nominations for its Prestigious Book of Golden Deeds award, which honors individuals devoted to serving the community. Nominations may be submitted by email to napablue@live.com with a deadline of Tuesday, June 2.
  • The Morrison Public Library will host its free Summer 2026 Reading Program for children ages 13 and under throughout June. Programs will be held Tuesday mornings on June 2, June 9, June 16 and June 23. Doors open at 9:50 a.m., with each session beginning at 10 a.m. and lasting approximately one hour. Children must be accompanied by an adult, as this is not a drop-off program.
  • A free Community & Career Expo hosted by the McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce and McMinnville-Warren County Industrial Development Board will be held Friday, June 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Three Star Mall in McMinnville, offering a chance to connect with local employers, TCAT and Motlow representatives and area businesses. Attendees can get resume help, learn interview skills, enjoy food trucks and kid-friendly activities, and register for door prizes.
  • The second annual Cannon County Worship Fest will be held Saturday, June 6 beginning at 11 a.m. at Dillon Park Lehman St in Woodbury. The free community-wide event will feature live worship music, prayer and fellowship throughout the day, along with food vendors, bounce houses and free games for kids. Organizers invite the community to come together for a day of praise and fellowship while kicking off the summer season in the park.
  • Mountain View Cemetery Decoration Day will be observed Sunday, June 7, at its location on Highway 30. Cemetery board members will be on-site Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to accept donations, answer questions and provide information about burial plots. A free lunch featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, drinks and dessert will be served Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. All are welcome to visit, decorate graves and honor loved ones.

  • The McMinnville - Warren County Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting for W Services Land Management & Excavation on Thursday, June 11 at 11:30 a.m. on 110 S Court Square.
  • The Butcher on Main and Willy B’s Smokehouse will host a BBQ brisket smoking class on Thursday, June 11, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at The Butcher on Main Lounge. Participants will learn how to choose a brisket, trim, prep and season meat, smoking techniques and proper cutting and serving methods. The class and meal cost $30.   • The second Annual MYP Golf Tournament “Fore The Families” will be held Friday, June 19, at McMinnville Country Club. Registration and lunch begin at 11 a.m. The four-person team entry fee is $400 and includes lunch, with prizes to be awarded.   • Lucky C.I.C. will host a candidate meet and greet on Saturday, June 13 beginning at 4 p.m. at 8406 Lucky Rd. The event will include an auction and a meal, with all proceeds benefiting improvements to the Lucky C.I.C. park.   • Families in Crisis will host a Sexual Assault Support Group Thursday, June 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. at 101 W. Main St., McMinnville. The group offers survivors a safe space to receive support, take part in healing activities, increase self-esteem, and learn coping skills to empower them on their journey.
  • The Warren County Master Gardeners’ Association will meet Thursday, June 18 at 6 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the Warren County Administration Building at 201 Locust St. WCMGA meets the third Thursday of each month, gathering at the fairgrounds during summer months and at the Magnolia Room of the Warren County Administration Building during the rest of the year.   • Young Men United will host its Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 20, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Warren County Fairgrounds, located at 194 Fairground Rd. The event will feature live entertainment, family activities, children’s games, food, a car show and a beauty pageant throughout the day.
  • The Warren County Genealogical and Historical Association will meet on Saturday, June 20 at 2 p.m. in the Magnolia Room of the Warren County Administration Building at 201 Locust St.
  • Heavenly Closet Thrift Store is open Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 100 Market Street, adjacent to the Farmer’s Market. The organization’s soup kitchen is open Mondays and Fridays, from 11:30 a.m. until noon each day, at 218 E. Main St. Proceeds from the thrift store fund the soup kitchen’s efforts. Volunteers and donations are always accepted. The group is part of the “Helping Hands” ministry.
