  • Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 1700 will host its monthly Fly/Drive/Bike/Walk/Crawl/Hop-In Breakfast on Saturday, Aug. 15, from 7:30 to 10 a.m. at the Warren County Memorial Airport, 48 W Airport Rd, McMinnville. The breakfast includes pancakes (including a blueberry option), eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, juice and coffee. Pilots, aviation enthusiasts and the public are welcome.
  • Christ Chapel will host a free Back-to-School Bash on Saturday, Aug. 15, from noon to 4 p.m. at 200 Chapel Dr. The event will feature free haircuts, hot dogs, face painting, a waterslide, games and a bounce house. Multiple stylists will be available to help students prepare for the new school year.
  • The Warren County Genealogical and Historical Association will meet Saturday, Aug. 15, at 2 p.m. in the Early Voting Room of the Warren County Administrative Building, 201 Locust St in McMinnville. Rock Island Forest Ranger Josh Welch will present a program on the Great Falls Cotton Mill at Rock Island. Visitors are welcome to attend.
  • A taco bar potluck dinner will be held Saturday, Aug. 15, at 5 p.m. at the Rock Island Community Center on 2886 Pine Bluff Rd. Fixings for tacos, burritos and taco salads will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring a side dish to share or make a donation at the door. The event will also feature games for all ages.
  • Caring Hearts United will present See if you Remember: A Musical Trip Through Time on Saturday, Aug. 15, at 7 p.m. at the Park Theater in downtown McMinnville. The nostalgic live stage production features timeless songs and classic memories while raising funds for a charitable cause. General admission tickets are $20.   • Little Spikes Youth Volleyball registration is open through Aug. 16 for the fall 2026 season. The City of McMinnville Parks and Recreation co-ed league includes 8U, 10U and 12U divisions, with age groups determined by each player’s age as of Aug. 1. Practices are scheduled for Aug. 23 and Aug. 30, followed by games from Sept. 13 through Oct. 25 and playoffs Nov. 1.   • The Warren County Commission Full Court meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 17 at the Warren County Administration Building on 201 Locust St.
  • The Building and Grounds Committee meeting will take place at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18 at the Warren County Administration Building on 201 Locust St.
  • A volunteer interest meeting for VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) will be held Wednesday, Aug. 19, from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at the Magness Library on 118 W. Main St. The United Way of South Central Tennessee will share information about volunteer opportunities with the VITA program. No experience is necessary.   • Registration is underway for the Warren County Church League 2026 fall softball season. The registration deadline is Thursday, Aug. 20, and late entries will not be accepted. Registration paperwork is available at the front desk of Milner Recreation Center or can be requested by email through Rachael Wamsley at rwamsley82@gmail.com. Teams must submit all required paperwork by the deadline to participate in the fall season.
  • The McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Colwell Law, PLLC on Thursday, Aug. 20, at 11:30 a.m. The event will take place at the firm's office, 206 N Chancery St. Community members are invited to attend and help welcome the business.
  • A Sexual Assault Support Group will meet Thursday, Aug. 20, from 6-8 p.m. at Families in Crisis, 101 W. Main St. Survivors are invited to a supportive group focused on healing, building self-esteem and developing coping skills in a safe, welcoming environment.   • The Warren County Republican Party will hold its monthly meeting Thursday, Aug. 20, at 6 p.m. in the Early Voting Room of the Warren County Administrative Building, 201 Locust St. 
  • The Warren County Master Gardeners' Association will meet Thursday, Aug. 20, from 6-8 p.m. Summer meetings are held at the Warren County Fairgrounds, while meetings during the remainder of the year are held in the Magnolia Room of the Warren County Administrative Building, 201 Locust St. Anyone who has completed the Master Gardener course is eligible to join.   • The annual McGee Reunion will be held Sunday, Aug. 23, beginning around noon at the Shellsford Baptist Church Fellowship Hall at 121 Bottoms Rd.   • The McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting for BoostBrandz on Thursday, Aug. 27, at 11:30 a.m. in the Chamber Community Room at 110 S Court Sq.
  • Main Street McMinnville will host its annual Farm-to-Table Dinner on Saturday, Aug. 29 at 6 p.m. at the Farmers Market Pavilion on 100 Market St. The event will feature locally grown ingredients prepared by local small businesses, with proceeds supporting the preservation of historic downtown McMinnville. Tickets are available at mainstreetmcminnville.org/farm-to-table/. 
  • The Warren County Democratic Party will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, Sept. 7, from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Magnolia Room of the Warren County Administrative Building, 201 Locust St.
  • The McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce Community Connections Golf Classic will be held Monday, Sept. 21, at 616 Country Club Dr. The event costs $425 per team, which includes lunch, red tee and mulligans. Prizes will be awarded to winners, along with contests for straightest drive and closest to the pin. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.   • Bybee Branch Church of Christ will host its Stringing Pearls of Wisdom Women's Day Gathering on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 1165 Old Smithville Rd. Registration begins at 9 a.m., with the program starting at 9:30 a.m. Speaker Denice Rhea will lead the event, and lunch will be provided following the program. Ladies from the community are invited to attend.
  • Heavenly Closet Thrift Store is open Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 100 Market St, adjacent to the Farmer’s Market. The organization’s soup kitchen is open Mondays and Fridays, from 11:30 a.m. until noon each day, at 218 E Main St. Proceeds from the thrift store fund the soup kitchen’s efforts. Volunteers and donations are always accepted. The group is part of the “Helping Hands” ministry.
