“This isn’t what I signed Up for” — A White County resident spoke out at Monday's County Commission meeting.
A White County woman says the home she bought expecting peace and quiet has become something very different — and now she’s asking county leaders to step in.
What changed, she says, didn’t happen overnight. But over time, traffic picked up, noise became a regular issue, and late-night activity started creeping closer to her front door. After years of living there, she told commissioners Monday night that it’s no longer the neighborhood she thought she was buying into.
Now, with more than 250 signatures behind her, she’s pushing the county to take a closer look at its rules — and whether businesses like the one now operating just a few hundred feet from her home should be allowed in areas like hers at all.
