Donald Lee Bell, 85

McMinnville resident and Weakley Co., Tenn. native Donald Lee Bell, 85, was born September 1, 1940 and died October 19, 2025 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.

A retired production manager with the Southern Standard newspaper, he was the son of the late Charlie Lee Bell and Sue Tate Damron. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by close friend and partner, Iris Bell and brother, Joe Bell.

Mr. Bell is survived by two children, Aprill (Chuck) Jones of Charlotte, N.C. and Jason (Cindy) Bell of McMinnville;  three grandchildren, Josiah Bell, Elizabeth Bell and Owen Taylor; sister, Betty Ramsey of Mississippi and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be arranged by the family at a later date.
