Monterey resident and Warren County native Geneva Lynn Rollings, age 83, was born July 8, 1943 and died Sept. 12, 2026 at Standing Stone Care & Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness.
A retired line operator in the molding department at Rockford Textile and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late James Dalton and Annie Reed Simmons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, James Dalton Rollings; son, Marty James Rollins; daughter, Charlotte D. Rollins and brothers, Virgil Simmons, Bert Simmons and Burl Simmons.
She was married to James Dalton Rollings on February 25, 1960. Mrs. Rollings is survived by daughter, Lisa McGuire of McMinnville; grandchildren, Krystal (Jason) Hill of Crossville and Jarrett (Lashea) McGuire of Cookeville; great-grandchildren, Americus Hill, Brentley McGuire, Lakelyn McGuire and Kylie McGuire and great-great-grandson, Mack Edward Clyde Jackson.
Graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026 at Smyrna Cemetery in Warren County with Mickey Ralph, Jr. to officiate. There will be no visitation or service at High’s. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
