Give to remember

As America observes the 25th anniversary of 9/11, Blood Assurance is offering a tangible way to help others in honor of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service of their fellow man on that fateful day.

The Blood Assurance bus is set up in the center ring at the Warren County A&L Fair Friday, Sept. 11 until 4 p.m. in an attempt to help replenish the blood supply which is used locally to help trauma patients, cancer patients, premature babies and others in need of blood. All who donate will receive a commemorative 9/11 25th anniversary T-shirt.

Donors are advised to eat a good meal, drink additional water and avoid energy drinks before giving blood. Walk-ins are welcome.

Blood Assurance will also hold a platelet drive at Garden City Plaza Thursday, Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
