Janet Karol Underwood, 65
October 14, 1959 - May 26, 2025
Morrison, TN resident and Port Lavaca, TX native Janet Karol Underwood, age 65, was born October 14, 1959 and died May 26, 2025 at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville following a sudden illness.
Ms. Underwood was a retired employee of Yorozu Automotive Tennessee and childcare provider. She is the daughter of the late James Earl and Evelyn Elswick McAfee.
Ms. Underwood is survived by children, Jared (Lizzie) Underwood of Morrison, TN, Jordan (Michelle) Underwood of the Centertown Community and Jenna Underwood (Steven Haney) of McMinnville; grandchildren, Jayton, Jacoby, Jeremiah, Jebsen, James, Jasper, Abby, Dalton, Jadelyn, Jesly and Josiah on the way; sisters, Jamie Lyle of McMinnville and Jodie McAfee of Morrison, TN and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2025 in High's Chapel with Alan Northcutt officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at High's. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Shady Grove Cemetery in Coffee County, TN.
