
McMinnville resident and Warren County native Jimmy Allen Smartt, 70, was born March 24, 1955 and died September 5, 2025 at St. Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro following a sudden illness.
The owner of The Lock Shop and of the Mormon faith, he was the son of the late Jimmy Price and Laura Joyce Campbell Smartt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.
He was married to Patricia Smartt of McMinnville in June of 1973. In addition to his wife, Jimmy is survived by siblings, Kenny (Tina) Smartt of Coalmont and Anthony "Shorty" Smartt and Jeffery Price Smartt, both of the Northcutt’s Cove Community; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Hamilton of McMinnville and nephews, Jeremy Hamilton, Joel Anthony Smartt, Cody Smartt and Mason Smartt.
Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, September 8, 2025 in High’s Chapel with Ronnie Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Northcutt’s Cove Mormon Cemetery in Grundy County. Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
