Joe Bob Mills

Murfreesboro, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native Joe Bob Mills passed away on July 28, 2025. He was born November 15, 1942 to the late Mary Ruth Davis.

He retired after 37 years as Branch Manager from Lance Snack Company and was of the Christian Faith.

He was preceded in death by wife, Shelby Jean Mills; daughter-in-law, Sandra Mills; step-granddaughter, Jill McClung and brothers-in-law, Eddie Barnes and Leonard Snodgrass.

He is survived by wife, Judy Mills of Murfreesboro; son, Kent Mills of Gallatin; step-daughter, Julie Braxton Parrish (Robert) of Murfreesboro; grandson, Matthew Mills of Gallatin; step-granddaughters, Lindsey Tuttle of St. Louis, MO, Taylor Sounthavanh of Murfreesboro and Valerie Parrish of Rockvale; eight great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Patricia Snodgrass of McMinnville.

Per his request, a private ceremony and interment was held at Long Cemetery in Van Buren County.

Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels in McMinnville.
