Kathleen Moffitt Hitchcock, 94

Rock Island resident and Van Buren County native Kathleen Moffitt Hitchcock, 94, was born September 13, 1930 and died July 4, 2025 at her residence following a sudden illness.

A retired bank teller with Citizens Bank and member of McElroy Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Loucile.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Liston;  son, Lynn;  sisters, Arlene and Sheila and step-mother, Louise.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2025 in High's Chapel with Doug Goff and R.C. Christian officiating.  Burial will follow in the Long Cemetery in Van Buren County. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. until time of service Monday at High's.
