Crossville
Cumberland County Republicans favored Marsha Blackburn over candidates John Rose and Monty Fritts for the gubernatorial nomination in Thursday’s county primaries. Blackburn took the local race with 42% of the vote.
In the Democrat Primary, Jerri Green carried the county with 75% of the vote.
In the race for U.S. House District 6, the Republican Primary saw Johnny Garrett capture the win, while Mike Croley earned the Democratic nomination.
The race for U.S. Senate will match up incumbent Bill Hagerty against the Democrat nominee, Marquita Bradshaw in November.
