Martha Pauline Martin, 95

Morgantown, W.V. resident and Warren County native Martha Pauline Martin, 95, was born May 4, 1930 and died July 30, 2025 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.V. following a brief illness.

The retired owner of Be Lovely Beauty Salon, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Ella Millraney Martin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Gloria Patterson; sisters, Edna Curtis, Gladys Walker, Lorene Hillis, Jessie Ruth Gillentine and Juanita Templeton and brothers, Woodrow Martin and Harold Martin.

Ms. Martin is survived by daughter, Bonnie Carter of Nashville; sons, Larry (Cathy) Patterson and Robert Patterson, Jr., both of Morgantown, W.V.; six grandchildren, Camie Carter, Jamie Patterson, Bobby Patterson, Brittany Patterson, Ryan Patterson and Andrew Patterson; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Sam Martin, Jr. of McMinnville and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3 in High’s Chapel with Ray Weddington officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Warren County. Visitation will be Sunday from noon until 2 p.m. at High’s.
