
· The 1990 Warren County Pioneers football team will hold its 35-year reunion on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025 at 1 p.m. across from Crisp Springs Market, which is located at 35 Crisp Springs Rd. in McMinnville. Coaches, teammates, family and friends are invited to “huddle on the river” together for an afternoon of fellowship and memories. The event will have no speakers or formal program, just a chance to reconnect and enjoy good times. Special thanks go to Mike Beaty for providing the farm for the gathering. This event is open to all who want to share the occasion.
· Isha Care will host a free medical clinic Friday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Three Star Mall. Physicians and health practitioners specializing in family and internal medicine, pediatrics, women’s and senior care, orthopedics, mental health, nutrition, fitness, physical therapy, and dental care will provide services. Screenings and demonstrations will also be available, including cancer support, vision and vascular checks, vaccination screenings, massage therapy, healthy recipes and samples, and a martial arts demo.
· The Warren County Rescue Squad’s next country ham breakfast is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 11. The dining room will be open, and both pickup and delivery will be available by calling 931-473-7023. Call by 6 a.m. for delivery orders, but please give at least one-hour notice for large orders. Breakfast plates are $12, and include ham or sausage, two biscuits, potatoes, scrambled eggs and gravy. Ham biscuits, sausage biscuits and gravy & biscuit will also be available. Proceeds go to help fund the Rescue Squad’s efforts throughout the year.
· Warren Masonic Lodge will host a pancake, sausage and fruit breakfast and multi-family yard sale Saturday, Oct. 11, at 308 East Main Street in McMinnville. Breakfast is all-you-can-eat for $10, including a drink, and will be served from 7 to 10 a.m. The yard sale will run from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Proceeds benefit charities such as the Widows and Orphans Fund, Shriners, Special Games, local scholarships, and other programs supporting children and people in need. This event is open to the community.
· The Black History Museum of Warren County and the Dibrell Memorial Museum will host A Live Walk Through History on Saturday, Oct. 11. The event will feature reenactments of the lives of Miss Pauline Gribble and William Houchin, with sessions scheduled at 10 a.m. and noon for Miss Gribble, and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. for Mr. Houchin. The program will take place at the Black History Museum at 203 W. Main St. Admission is free, refreshments will be served, and donations will be appreciated. This event is open to the public.
· Families in Crisis will host a Sexual Assault Support Group Thursday, Oct. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at 101 W. Main St., McMinnville. The group offers survivors a safe space to receive support, take part in healing activities, increase self-esteem, and learn coping skills to empower them on their journey. Meetings are held the first and third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. This event is open to survivors seeking connection, encouragement, and healing resources.
· The Warren County Master Gardeners’ Association will meet Thursday, Oct. 16, at 6 p.m. at the fairgrounds. The WCMGA meets the third Thursday of each month, gathering at the fairgrounds during summer months and at the Magnolia Room of the Warren County Administration Building during the rest of the year. · McMinnville Special Games will present the inaugural Rockin’ for a Reason fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 17, at 6 p.m. at the Park Theater, 115 W. Main St., McMinnville. The concert will feature live performances from Sleep Nation, Ninth Sun, The Arcade Aquarium, and August Lows. Tickets are $25 and are available in person at the West Main branch of Security Federal Savings Bank. All proceeds benefit McMinnville Special Games, which provides year-round activities for more than 120 men, women and children with special needs in Warren County. This event is open to the public.
· The Kevin Bouldin Memorial Youth Coon Hunt will take place on October 18, 2025, with registration from 4-5 p.m. at the Van Buren County Justice Center, located at 121 Taft Drive in Spencer, TN. The event is open to youth ages 17 and under and participants must return by midnight. Hunters must be accompanied by an adult, and all applicable state wildlife laws and hunter education requirements will apply. Hunters and dogs will not be provided. Donations of prizes or monetary contributions are welcomed, with contacts listed including Jill Bouldin, Lakelyn Stoglin, Layla Bouldin, Monroe Mooneynam, and Jessica Walling. · The McMinnville City High School Class of 1963 will hold its class reunion Oct. 18, 2025 at noon at Helen’s on the Green. All classmates are encouraged to attend. Prepayment is not required, but organizers would like to know by Oct. 10 to plan for an accurate number of attendees. · Caring Hearts United’s monthly meeting will be held Tuesday, Oct. 21, from 6-7 p.m. at 352 S. Chancery St., Suite 4. · The Warren County Health Department will offer free flu shots Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 1401 Sparta Street in McMinnville as part of the Tennessee Department of Health’s annual “Fight Flu TN” campaign. Vaccinations will be available throughout the day with no appointment required. The event is part of a statewide effort to make flu prevention easy and accessible and to reduce the spread of illness through the winter months. Health officials encourage everyone six months and older, especially children, older adults and those with chronic conditions, to take advantage of this opportunity for free protection against the flu. This event is open to the public.
· Caring Hearts United will host Halloween Bingo on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Heritage Event Center, 303 S. High St., McMinnville. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with bingo games played from 6 to 8 p.m. Cards are available with a $5 donation, and concessions will be open with food, drinks, and treats. The evening will include a costume contest and prizes. This event is open to the public—family and friends are welcome.
· Hickory Creek Elementary PTO will host Cruisin’ for the Hawks on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Warren County High School. The car and motorcycle show will feature food and drink vendors, shopping booths, kids’ games, raffle prizes, and awards at 1 p.m. Vehicle entry is $15 for early bird (9:30–10:30 a.m.) or $25 for late entry (10:30–11:30 a.m.), with motorcycle entry at $10 and $20. · Local animal rescues will host a special screening of “The Lost Boys” Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Three Star Cinema in McMinnville. Tickets are $5 each, concessions will be available, and proceeds/donations will go to support animal shelters in McMinnville and Warren County.
· The Small Town Truck Meet has been rescheduled for Nov. 8, 2025, at the Van Buren County Fairgrounds. Organized by Ashley Roberts, the event is a fundraiser to support two individuals who were recently injured in an accident. All proceeds will go directly toward their hospital bills and other essential needs. The gathering is expected to include music, food, games, and potentially a burnout pit, pending county approval. Attendees are encouraged to come out and show support for friends and family while enjoying a community-centered celebration of trucks and local spirit.
· Caring Hearts United will present the 15th Annual Wonderland of Trees November 9–15, 2025, at Three Star Mall in McMinnville. Admission is free, and doors will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The charitable event features viewing and silent bidding on fully decorated Christmas trees, wreaths, centerpieces, gingerbread houses, and other donated items. A bake sale and Wonderland Store will also be available, along with live music, dance, and other entertainment throughout the week. Proceeds benefit hospice patients. This event is open to the public.
· On Veterans Day, Nov. 11, the Black History Museum of Warren County will host a presentation by Gary Burke, a Civil War reenactor with the Nashville-based 13th Regiment of the United States Colored Troops (USCT) Living History Association. Twenty-thousand Tennesseans joined the USCT, the second-most of any state after Virginia. Fifteen USCT soldiers won the Medal of Honor. Burke will tell the stories of the USCT and particularly the 13th Regiment, starting at noon at the Magness Library. Refreshments will be served and admission is free. Donations will be accepted.
· Heavenly Closet Thrift Store is open Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at 100 Market Street, adjacent to the Farmer’s Market. The organization’s soup kitchen is open Mondays and Fridays, from 11:30 a.m. until noon each day, at 218 E. Main St. Proceeds from the thrift store fund the soup kitchen’s efforts. Volunteers and donations are always accepted. The group is part of the “Helping Hands” ministry.
