Voters across the Upper Cumberland will have multiple ways to follow election results Tuesday night, as a coordinated live coverage effort will bring updates from several counties to audiences across the region.
Coverage of the May 5 primary election will begin at 7 p.m., with live reports from Warren, White, Coffee and Cumberland counties.
The broadcast is a joint effort between Ben Lomand Connect and Main Street Media, combining television, radio and digital platforms to provide real-time updates as results are reported.
Viewers can watch coverage on BLTV Channel 6, as well as on the Main Street Journal and Ben Lomand Connect Facebook pages. The broadcast will also be available on the Main Street Media McMinnville and Ben Lomand Connect YouTube channels.
For radio listeners, coverage will air on:
- 105.3 Wow Country in McMinnville and Manchester
- WBMC 97.7-FM / 960-AM in McMinnville
- Yert 92.7 in Sparta
- WAEW 96.3 in Crossville
Organizers say the multi-platform approach is designed to ensure residents can access timely election information regardless of how they prefer to receive news.
“We’re really excited about this,” Main Street Media co-owner Chad Graves said. “This is our first chance to provide election coverage to our area, and we want to be as quick and as thorough as possible. We’re excited about the opportunity to partner with Ben Lomand Connect and provide up-to-the-minute results as they happen.”
Election results are expected to begin coming in shortly after polls close at 7 p.m., with updates continuing throughout the evening as precincts report.
The coverage will include live updates, county-by-county results and analysis as the region’s primary races are decided.
