The familiar orange triangle sign that locals have driven past for years is gone, replaced almost overnight with a new logo, new colors, and a new name. This week, the longtime Citgo station on the corner of Bockman Way and Spring Street officially reopened as an Amoco.

For many in Sparta, the station at 440 W. Bockman Way, sitting at the busy intersection of Bockman Way and North Spring Street, is more than just a place to fill up. It’s a daily stop on the way to work, school, or practice. That’s why the sudden switch to the Amoco brand caught so many eyes this week.
