$4,000 could become $9,000 for Warrior Marching Band

The White County High School Warrior Marching Band has a chance to turn $4,000 in community support into $9,000 during the month of September.

ONE Bank of Tennessee is celebrating its 125th birthday by supporting organizations in the communities it serves, and White County High School was selected as one of the recipients. Principal Grant Swallows chose the Warrior Marching Band to receive the donations raised locally.

Throughout September, ONE Bank will add $1.25 for every $1 donated to the band — a 125% match — up to $5,000 from the bank.

That means a $20 donation becomes $45 for the band. A $100 donation becomes $225. And if the community contributes $4,000 during September, the band can receive the full $5,000 match for a total of $9,000.

Band supporters are hoping the community will help them take full advantage of the opportunity.

“We do need your help to make this a successful fundraiser,” the band shared in announcing the campaign. “Whether you’re a regular donor or giving for the first time, please consider donating what you can this September!”

There are several ways to contribute.

Donations can be made directly to the Warrior Marching Band at White County High School or through the Band Booster Club during home football games. Boosters can be found working in the concession stand.

Donations can also be made at ONE Bank of Tennessee's Bockman Way location in Sparta. Donors should specify that their contribution is for the White County High School Warrior Marching Band fundraiser.

The fundraiser will continue throughout the month of September, giving the community the entire month to help the band reach the amount needed to receive ONE Bank's full $5,000 contribution.
