The Fairfield Glade Police Department reports a Fairfield Glade resident lost over $1,850 after receiving a call from someone claiming to be with the Lee County, Florida Sheriff’s Office.
The caller claimed the man’s son was in custody and needed immediate bail money sent via Cash App.
Rural King management reported that a male driving a white Ford utility-style truck parked behind the Cumberland Square store and made off with 14 bags of filter sand. The stolen merchandise is valued at just over $130. Surveillance video captured the incident, and police are continuing their investigation.
