The end of the week brought another full slate of action at the White County Recreational Complex, and with the standings beginning to take shape, several teams either strengthened their position at the top or made important moves heading into the next stretch of the season.

Competitive T-Ball

Doyle Church of the Nazarene continues to set the pace in the division, and Friday’s 11-10 win over The Way Church only reinforced that. Sitting unbeaten, Doyle Church had to earn this one, holding off a late push to remain in control of the standings.

Jaxito Burrito picked up an 11-7 win over Warrior Wash, keeping themselves firmly in the mix near the top half of the standings. Meanwhile, Parker Metal Supply’s 8-5 win over Tennessee Site Prep stands out as a key result. Parker Metal entered the week lower in the standings, while Tennessee Site Prep had been among the more consistent teams. The win gives Parker Metal momentum and tightens the middle of the division.

Coach Pitch Boys

National Guard remains the team to beat, and Friday’s 12-3 win over Gulla Automotive kept them unbeaten and extended their winning streak. They continue to separate themselves at the top of the standings.

Price Sluggers are doing their best to keep pace. After a high-scoring 17-9 win over Piney Creek Lumber on Thursday, they followed it up with a narrow 15-14 win over Thompson Construction on Friday. That one-point game could prove important as the race near the top develops.

Piney Creek Lumber bounced back from that Thursday loss with a 14-9 win over Three Rivers on Friday, avoiding a slide and staying in the middle of the pack. Clean Cut Lawn Care picked up a 12-3 win over Gulla Automotive, giving them a needed result as they look to climb out of the lower portion of the standings.

Minor Boys (Live Arm)

Ben Dildine Tru-North continues to dominate the division. Their 10-4 win over Meeks Construction keeps them unbeaten and firmly in control of first place. With a strong run differential and consistent play, they’ve created some separation from the rest of the field.

Turney Financial’s 10-6 win over Nate Card Construction adds another layer to the race behind the top spot. Turney has now put together a solid stretch and remains in contention near the top tier of the standings.

Minor Girls

Minor Girls teams were off Thursday and Friday, leaving Franks and Reco still sitting at the top of the standings as play pauses briefly before the next slate of games.

Looking Ahead

The next phase of the season gets underway Monday with the debut of the Major divisions.

Major Girls Softball opens with BCX Lazer Printing facing Calf Killer Brewing Co. at 5:30 p.m., followed by Premier Collision taking on MMG Truck & Trailer Repair at 7 p.m., both on Field 2.

Major Boys Baseball will also begin Monday on Field 4, with Roberson Fencing meeting Ben Lomand at 5:30 p.m., and Spar Gas facing Sonic at 7 p.m.

With multiple divisions tightening and new ones set to begin, the second half of the rec league season is going to be a lot of fun.
