A big shopping list for Sparta
Sparta aldermen to consider $500K in city purchases.
The Sparta Board of Mayor and Aldermen will consider several purchases, a building expansion, and a new police officer during its meeting tomorrow, Oct. 22.
Among the items on the agenda are three new vehicles for city departments, including a $36,753 pickup for the Street Department, an $85,415 truck equipped with a crane for the Sewer Department, and a $340,841 aerial line truck for the Electric Department.
Aldermen will also consider a $39,400 roof replacement for an Electric Department building and a request from the Sparta-White County YMCA to add 3,000 square feet to its existing facility.
The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. on the second floor of Sparta City Hall. The board will also recognize the White County High School girls golf team.
